This recipe came from a book named ”Granny Putt’s Old -Time Vinegar, Garlic, Baking Soda, and 101 More Problem Solvers”.It is called Granny Putt’s Dandelion Wine. It came to me to late in the year for me to try it out . Maybe next year.
Granny Putt’s Dandelion Wine
4 lemons
4 oranges
1-gallon bucket of dandelion blooms
( no stems)
2 gallons of water
8 cups of sugar
1 pak. of bakers yeastJuice the lemons and oranges, and put the rinds, juice, and dandelion blooms in a pan with the water. Bring the mix to a boil and continue to boil for half an hour. Remove pan from heat, and let it sit for 24 hours.
Strain the mix into crock or large glass jar, stir in sugar and yeast. Cover the container, and leave it in a cool dark place for two weeks. Then strain the elixir again, then poor into bottles.
Happy drinking and don’t drink and drive. (or walk) -

Angie, I have a question. Every time I open my computer there is a pop-up for a chat contact from Angie Lacy. As a rule I ignore these, but if it is you I will except it. Is it you?

This sounds devine. Will definitely give it a try next year. I’m going to post this in the forum as well. Thanks.
